Hi there! It should typically sit flat- perhaps we crochet with different tensions! You could try using a larger crochet hook and it might not curve as much!

It turned out ok. Both edges are slightly curved, but if I kept making it with original pattern, I know it ended up curving WAY more. The photo shows almost-done wrap.
