I made this hat yesterday and I am so pleased with how it came out. To fit my daughter’s head with my tension, the way she wanted it to fit, etc., I only did 35 rows for the band. I then did the 49 double crochets round as evenly as possibly. I did have to rip it out and make some adjustments to get the first round distributed nicely because I had less than the 50 rows recommended. This was my first time doing cables and it took me a few tries to get it right, once I had it down, the hat works up really quickly. I am so happy with it, thanks for the great pattern.

Beautiful! But why did you use 46 cm for the ribber band? I think, that size, is for a child, accorfing Anne’s link. Could you help me ? Thanks

I noticed after doing 16 rows it didn’t fit past my ears still. Just keep that in mind I think one more set of rows will be perfect making it 20 rows total. Great pattern!
