Thank you Stephanie, I know how to read the pattern, but for the sc inc it would of helped if you would put (2 sc in the next st). That tells me how much to inc the pattern. Again thank you.

Hi Terri! Round 3 states: R3: *Sc, Inc*, rep 10 times. Join with sl st to first sc, Chain 1. (30 sts) This means you need to “single crochet, then work an increase (two single crochets in the next stitch)”. Doing this results in 3 stitches. You repeat this WHOLE SEQUENCE ten times in total (everything within the asterisks is repeated ten times), thus you get 3 x 10 = 30!

I know that it is a SC Inc but how do you get 30 sc from having 20 sc on row 2?

Hey Joanie! Glad you love this set! With the second row of the diaper cover, it states: “R2: Sl st 6, dc 17, leave rest unworked (17 sts)” The 17 stitches in brackets is referring to the dc 17 (not dc 12), so you are left with 17 stitches to work through in subsequent rows! You leave the rest of the stitches unworked to get that tapered look for the diaper cover!

I am having trouble with the secoND row though. I have 29dc on the first row and If I slip stitch through 6 stich then dc 12 then I only have 10 left not 17. Do you mean chain 6 at the beginning of row 2? Like to make a button loop? Can you help please? 🙂
